Turn Around Bright Eyes!

I took a stab at some Video Game cover designs and went for a watercolor/painterly look on some of them. I have a lot of respect for Digital Painters and even more for the artists that put the real pigment to the paper [ or canvas...! ]. One day I'll learn to paint... One day...!

Cool art man! For someone that supposedly can't paint, I for one would have never known it! Your work is always top notch!!

Thanks Patrick! But painting in Photoshop is pretty easy compared to getting your hands dirty and doing it for real! Even this this illustration is sort of a cheat compared to a lot of talented guys out there.

Just surfing the blogs now and again depresses me! Bottom line is I need to take a class in PS and an actual real painting class soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

This beautiful digital painting fills me with an unquenchable rage, but your clever use of a Jim Steinman lyric has appeased me.

For now.

Really, though... It really does look like watercolor! How did you do that? Wait- don't answer. I want it to remain a mystery.

LOL! I think you're the first person to actually read my last post!

Not to spoil the mystery but I think my watercolor effect was achieved due to lack of skill. I was initially going for that digital oil/acrylic feel and got what you see instead... ;(
