This blog has taken a big pummeling! 100,000 hits. Ouch. But it hurts so good! Thanks for checking in and stopping by to say hi!
To celebrate, I may as well show off show off something apropos. Just did this Dragonlance cover for Devil's Due Publishing. I really had fun with it and especially liked painting the clouds.
Below the comic book cover is a nice little photo of me and my cutie-pie wife struggling with a barbecue! All those instructions! Heat the grill. Put the steak on the grill. Flip it. Flip it again and again and again! It's maddening! Maddening I say!
Thanks again for all the support, fellow barbarians! Stay Mighty!

MATT: I've asked you to pose several times and I'm always refused! I can't take the rejection!!!
nice. are the clouds done with photoshop? They look a lot like Painter, so if it's PS, extra kudos!
MIKE: Yup, it's photoshop! I'm still playing with Painter but not confident enough yet to really dive into it.
you know i love it.
hey, you changed the picture!I like this one too, especially the arena on the backgroud!
Yeah, I was asked to make the background more like a comic book and less like a painting. I was really proud of those clouds but I like the stadium and the weird colors of the revised one also. Thanks!
