X-Men Origins: Wolverine

There's two camps when it comes to the new Wolverine movie out there. One loves it and one hates it. Well, I loved it. Sure, there were some little points here and there that could of been done better - but overall - wow! I loved every minute of it. Just a real fun movie! Both Hugh Jackman and Liev delivered, big time.

BTW, my issue of X-Men Origins: Sabretooth, although very different, contained a lot of similar scenes! I'll put some of those up when I get a chance. It was really something to see a scene I drew look very close to what was on the big screen. I hadn't seen the film and the comic book came out at the end of January - so it was just bizarre coincidences.

Anyway, here's some of the art from that issue. Many thanks to Ian Hannin for doing such a great job with the color!

X-ellent stuff as always Dan! I'm so damn happy you're back into comics!! Kudos to Ian for the colors, especially the pinkish-purple shnoz on Sabertooth in the page where Wolvie's jumping him. -Chris.

Love these pages! All great drawings, but I especially love the
last panel of the first page where
Logan is walking out the exit. Nice gesture in the pose, and beautifully
confident ink ( digital?) line.

...oh yeah, I also like that you draw Logan's claws round like a claw instead of flat like a blade. I've always pictured them like that growing up, but in later years everyone started drawing them flat.

When does this book come out? I'm definitely getting a copy!

YO DAN!

I WAS WONDERING IF YOU DID THOSE RECENT STAR TREK MOVIE FIGS?

I REMEMBER THOSE ONES YOU DID OF THE OG CRUE

I did indeed design those figs! Good times!

Though the splash is very, very nice.
I love this bar talking scene. Making a sitting conversation interesting is great story telling.

Looking good Dan,

Soon you will be a superstar! I wish you had Sapertooth looking at Wolvie, but maybe that looking awaymake him more crazy looking.

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the support!

Bill: Thanks! At that point in the story it's very fitting that neither character is looking at each other. Neither character is looking at each other because their annual meeting has become very routine. Logan is done with it. Sabretooth is also so used to the their annual "battle" that it's old hat to him and his remarks in that panel only enforce his nonchalance.
