Six Gun Sally! It's my pet project that will be coming out from Image Comics one fine day! Can't wait to work on it some more! By the way, a friend of mine, Rich Faber is running a little contest at his blog! Check it out!

I've been counting guns, literally, for like 2 hours now. And I can only see 5 guns. I hope you find time to make that 6th gun.

It looks entertaining though. Is that robot comic you were working on out yet?

Urban Barbarian said...

LOL!

The robot comic is part of many stories for a trade paperback called 24/7, coming out around San Diego Comic Con time.

Ivan Brandon of NYC:MECH is publishing it through Image Comics and Adam Hughes has provided the cover. He's got stories from 100 Bullets, Eduardo Risso and tons of other very talented guys. The book is amazing and there's a huge range of styles. I'm really looking forward to it.

freakn AWESOME WORK =)

Dan, if you don't mind me asking, what did you use for your inks on this one?

I like the eyes. It makes me remember old Silvestri stuff. Like Uncanny X-men Silvestri. That was a good run!

Urban Barbarian said...

Thanks Travis! I worked with Mark on some of the very first CyberForce comics. He's a tremendous artist!

I use a Staedtler Mars Graphic 3000 Brush Marker. It's the closest thing to a real brush. The only problem is that the ink isn't waterproof... Which is probably why it glides so well. Oh well, that's why we scan stuff in, right? The tip is also incredibly flexible. Most brush pens are pretty stiff and lack any sort of "give".

I've thought about filling them with permanent ink but now they make them with tips on both ends so it might be a bit more difficult of a task.

SOOOOOOOOO FREAKIN COOOOOOOL!:)

Eres muy bueno, man!
The girl is so pretty!!!!!
Good work.

In reference to the brush pens, have you tried the brush variety of the Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Brush Pen?

It's my brush pen of choice. It's a bit smaller of a tip, but I love working with them. Also, they contain archival india inks.

Beautiful work!!! Holy crap is there a lot of great stuff on this blog!

Urban Barbarian said...

Thanks for all the kind words!

JESSE: I have some of those pens and I do like them quite a bit. The PITT Brush pen is pretty nice too. Just wish the tip was a bit longer and more flexible.

Something was very wrong with that last sentance...
