Here's the Spidey design I came up with. Mind you, this WASN'T chosen, but I thought you might like it. I have a good feeling about which designer will nab the position and I think the animation world will be blown away! He's one awesome talent! I'll keep you posted when I know for sure!

I dig it. The expanded band of red across his midsection is a good call. That web-belt of red's whispy-ness always bothered me. Nice simplification of the bicep/glove area, too. Really slick.
Thanks Ray. I was trying to keep the Spiderman Mainstays but make the costume itself easier to animate.
Nice man; you really nailed it. I know we talked about it and all, but I have to be honest, I still love what you did here. If it had gone your way, they would have been just as happy. Now it's time to stop teasing all the folks who check in here and start showing them the JS stuff!;)
Hey Dan great to have you stop and leave those kind words, Yeah when I heard they were going to do the movie I thought I could get some work as concept desinger but that was a dream. Your spidey design is kool and I think I know who your talking about, if it the kat I'm thinking of he handles super hero ish real fresh like first letter of alias is C well to bad you didn't get the gig but I'm sure that more will come your way your work speaks for itself. I was going to post the old spidey I did when I was working and I come hear and you beat me to it, so I'am just play follow the leader once again hope you like, it not the original cause I gave that away well D I hope the weekend was good to you stay real fresh like you do !!!

Dan, Dan, Dan! what a wonderful vision you have of the ol' webhead. i LOVE LOVE LOVE your take on Spidey. The thick waist band, the hand area for the webbing, and the face really is a fresh take on the classic costume.
