RAY: You get a great line digitally. I would of never guessed that from your work. It has a real nice brush feel to it. And it doesn't look mechanical at all.
Yes, I colored it too. I spend more time coloring than I do inking.
my elementary school was alem and discontinued the crime solving classes before I got there. Something about the principal wanting to take over the world and not wanting some 4th grader thwarting his plans.
I really love the composition and colours used! with black silouette in foreground, the cathedral and the two guys different inked you created a 4 layers reading pic! amazing composion again
Hi Dan!!:)) I'm back and safe from my trip in NY Comic con!!! And what I find in your blog??? three great pictures I didn't see: i like this Sherlock Holmes cover, but expecially I love the Mary Jane and Gwen Stacy you posted before!! My best compliments!!! you are very talented and I like all your different styles!!!
I really enjoyed the way you rendered this piece. While i enjoy the modern comic art i sorta miss this particular style.
Oh btw, you were kind enough to leave a comment on my blog. Trouble is you were looking at my old blog! If you're ever interested you could check out my new stuff at http://avinash-kishundat.blogspot.com/

Ah Kolchak, never looked better...
I love this!!! What did you use to ink this image? brush? pen? I really like the marks that were made. Definitely captures that "old" style.
MARK: Thanks amigo!
RATCRTUR: I use a Staedtler Mars Graphic 3000 Brush Pen. It's the closest thing I've found that performs like a real brush.
I'm a fan of brush pens, but I still work all digitally. Even less cleanup!
I dig the image; did you color it or a third party?
